The OBC 5100 is designed so that it is easy to install. It has only three wires to hook up. Each unit comes with its own installation kit. An installation guide can be found by clicking here. Depending on the complexity of the piece of equipment, many units are installed in under an hour. On-Board’s Customer service department is available to help with installation questions. An optional weather proof container is available for $ 35.00 for installation on equipment without a cab.  Also, equipment with 24 volt electrical systems may require an optional voltage converter.

Prices for the installation will very depending upon the installer’s hourly rate and the level of complexity of the installation in your vehicle.
